Released in November 2009, the LG GW620 is the first of its kind. Also widely known as the LG Eve, LG came out with its first android phone in an already crazy cell phone market. A beauty in its own, the phone has gained a lot of publicity right after its launch. With the consumer's ever increasing appetite for social networking, the company got off with its new venture at the nick of time.

Design and Dimension

106 x 55 x 12 mm- that is what the GW620 measures to. Weighing around 139 g, this phone comes quite handy. Good to look at, it features a slide on QWERTY keypad and a 3.0 inches touch screen that scores high on one's requirements. It's sturdy and also easily fits the hand. With curved edges and a black blue color compilation, it grades high in appearance and presentation.

Camera

The GW620 has a 5 mega pixel camera that speaks for its quality. With 2560 x 1920 pixels, and primary autofocus, images are quite good. It features a LED flash too. Though there is no secondary camera, QVGA videos is supported. Some of the important features like Beauty shot, face detection and Geo tagging is also available along with Image stabilizer.

Basic features

Though not irresistible, the GW620 has some impeccable qualities that cannot be denied. The phone was majorly built with the social networking strata in view. It offers some integrated entertainment packages, and a comfortable keypad ensures user satisfaction. Good camera, new interface and fast web browsers add on to its appeal.

Interface: The handset originally runs the Android 1.5 Cupcake operating system. Though the interface is a bit old drawn, it can be upgraded to the Android 2.1 Éclair. The OS is quite prompt and responsive. Due to the standard resolution of the phone, most of the applications available for Android phones are supported. It consists of basic interface features like home screen and widgets that have been customized by the company.

Phonebook: Some 1000 contacts can be stored in the phone. However, multiple numbers under a single contact name is not supported.

Screen

The phone features graphical display in the 3.0 inch screen. With a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, it is not harsh on eyes. The touch screen is resistive and obviously not as good as its capacitive counterparts. Due to the light sensitive display, the screen is quite visible in sunlight. The 256K colors and 65k effective colors bring the screen to life. It also comes with an accelerometer sensor.

Keypad and Controls

Beneath the 3.0 inch display are three buttons- Menu, Home and Back. These three are also touch sensitive. On sliding, the full QWERTY keypad comes to view. The five row keypad is more or less like the PC keyboard and properly spaced. The keys are well responsive. The micro USB port is on the left side along with volume rocker. The micro SD card slot is on the right and so are the music and camera keys. On top perches the 3.5 mm audio jack.

Audio

Well endowed speakerphones are available in the phone for music lovers. It comes with a MP4 player and also supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, EAAC+ and WMA. A built in FM Radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack is also offered. The sound quality is good and the phone can also be used as a PMP.

Messaging

The phone offers threaded message viewing for the ease of text savvies. The QWERTY keypad adds on to the comfort due to the well separated keys. There are arrows that make scrolling easier. It comes with all the basic features- MMS, Instant Messaging, Email and Push Email.

Media

The media factor in the LG GW620 is as per necessity. The media player is apt for playing video files. The standard music player comes with basic features, and the interface is user friendly. The image gallery application is superb and allows 3D image viewing. Photos can be shared through MySpace, Picasa or via MMS. The camera is also decent.

Internet

The GW620 is equipped with 2G as well as 3G networking ability. The HSDPA works at 7.2 Mbps. The phone is appropriate for internet usage, thanks to the quality keypad and supportive OS. Social networking has been made easy and a WAP 2.0 browser makes all the difference.

Storage

The Smartphone has 150 MB internal memory. It has a micro SD slot, and the external memory is expandable up to 32 GB.

Connectivity and Data

Connectivity is commendable in terms of options available. EDGE, GPRS, 3G HSDPA, and Wi-Fi are all there for the users. Along with it, a micro USB 2.0 is supplied and Bluetooth 2.0 is used to connect to other phones. Though Flash is not supported, it comes with a standard Webkit browser. The built in GPS supports Google Maps already installed in the phone. With all the other accessories, connectivity is not to be a problem.

Usability and Performance

The device can be called versatile. Usage is uncomplicated and easy and makes up for all basic features that a general phone has nowadays. It supports photo call and the quality of call reception is laudable. Decent image quality, image editor, basic document viewer and motion based games- all makes this phone a great choice.

If it is a phone you want with a top notch camera, the LG KC910 Renoir will not disappoint you. Announced in August 2008, the phone is available in the market since November 2008. LG has always made it a point to incorporate the latest technology and make the handsets feature-filled.

Similarly, for KC910 Renoir, they left no stone unturned. It has the newest connectivity technology and champs the world of camera phones. Along with the attractive display feature, KC910 Renoir is a high flier.

Design and Dimension

The slight mirror finish rendered to the phone adds on to the glamour quotient. It is of the slate form factor. Somewhat similar looking to an iPhone, the 3.0 inch touch screen makes the most of the front panel. It weighs 114 g and the dimension is 107.8 x 55.9 x 14 mm. The Renoir looks great, but is not counted on the slender genre.

Camera

If asked to score for the Renoir camera, one would rate it at nothing less than 8 out of 10. The 8 Mega Pixel camera does all the talking. The 3264 x 2448 pixels increases the image quality. Along with it, the new features are pretty interesting. One of them is the touchscreen focus. With it, if you want to focus at a particular object, you can do that just by pointing at the screen. Other than that, there is the blink detection feature which works just as well. The face tracking focus is also there. The DivX 5 video codec is used for video recording.

Basic Features

LG Renoir has an upgraded task manager. Compared to the LG Viewty and LG KF700, KC910 Renoir is much more moldable.

User Interface: The LG operating system works quite well. The user interface has been upgraded from the previous handsets. Though a bit slow, the interface has incorporated lots of animations. The main menu can be reorganized, and the icons can be interchanged. Scrolling is also much easier and smoother and each touch is accompanied by vibration. The home screen widgets have been updated and the Status screen is also installed.

Phonebook: Photo calling is possible in the Renoir, and video calling can also be done.

Screen

KC910 Renoir is blessed with a large 3.0 inches display. Screen of all LG phones always define class. So does the Renoir. The TFT touch screen is resistive. However, overall functioning it is not as difficult and is as good as the capacitive ones. It has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and 256K colors. Flash user interface is incorporated and accelerometer sensor is used for auto rotation. Wallpapers can be downloaded and applied.

Keypad and Controls

The touchscreen features a full QWERTY keypad. Due to the touch screen, the keypad is also easy to handle. Longitudinal view of the QWERTY keypad is also available. Beneath the 3.0 touch screen, there are three controls buttons each for receiving and ending calls and to open the application launcher. Above the display, there is the video call camera and ambient light sensor. On the right, there are two controls for the camera. The camera lens cover is manually controlled.

Audio

The speakerphone installed in the handset is quite powerful. The Renoir boasts of Dolby sound which acts on its favor. The Dolby for Mobile is not applicable on videos. The music player is not over the top, and there are no equalizer settings available. The Dolby sound enhancer acts at a single click to improve the sound quality.

Messaging

Messaging is quite easy if you are used to the touch screen keypad. Even if you are not, no difficulties are expected to arise. The touchpad is prompt. All the primary messaging features are available. SMS, MMS, EMS and Email facilities are provided.

Media

Image viewing, media player, video playback, gaming, picture editing and lots more are brought together with maximum efficiency in this handset. The screen is so fluid that flipping through images is more than natural. The image editor is excellent and feature filled. The latest one is the Face Beauty option. It brightens portraits and repairs blemishes. The Smart Light feature is also quite useful.

The music player is average, but the video support is too good. The LG Renoir could easily play the DivX files that were not played in the other smart-end phones. The large screen makes it comfortable for playing games.

Internet

Though the Safari browser was excellent, the web browser in LG Renoir is not far behind. The fluid feel has been inherited. The web pages are loaded pretty fast. The pages are also cached. However the only glitch is the zoom option. It is not quite accurate, and sometimes fails to enlarge the section of the page selected. To zoom an object, it is to be pressed and held together.

Storage

Like any other standard phone, the internal memory is 100 MB. Call records can register up to 40 dialed calls, 40 missed calls and 40 received calls. The external memory slot can support external memory up to 16 GB.

Connectivity and Data

The LG KC910 Renoir uses some of the latest connectivity technologies. It is a 3G enabled handset with the HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps. GPS technology is enabled. Then there is the Wi-Fi feature. Though there is no infrared port, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP allows data transfer. There is also a USB port.

Usability and Performance

The Renoir is rich in multimedia capabilities. The design is conservative, yet sharp enough. Good care needs to be taken for this phone. Performance is laudable, so is durability.

Superior appearance

Cons

LG Phones: LG KM555 COOKIE - LG CU920 - LG Voyager

Conclusion

The LG KC910 Renoir is quite hefty, and not at all compact. It has got the ability to match shoulders with the Pixon or Viewty. Certain innovative ventures have raised the bar, and it can never be a bad buy.

Life is Good and with the release of the one of its latest phones LG has proved it all over again! The LG COOKIE KM555 combines class and convenience. This phone has a slim and sleek metallic body that makes a fashion statement. It has a very sensitive, accurate and responsive touchscreen. Moreover it has all the connections one needs like Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS, EDGE.

Design and Dimensions

The KM555 measures 104.9 x 52.6 x 11.9 mm and just weighs 90 g. It is aesthetically designed in keeping with LG’s tradition. It has a light catching metallic body , an almost mirrored finish that makes one want to caress it! It is available in three colors including black, silver and violet. It also has slim side buttons that jut out of the edges like ribs to offer volume, music, power and camera controls.

Camera

The KM555 comes with a 3 Megapixel camera. However, it does not have flash. The picture quality is good and the camera allows users to take crisp photos and videos. It can speed-shoot up to nine shots at once and also offers a range of photo effects and adjustments. There is a dedicated camera key for convenience.

Basic Features

The new LG KM555 is a touchscreen handset that comes with a high speed 3G, a 3MP camera, music and video players, FM radio and Bluetooth. It comes with two unique features that are absent in most of the smart phones- multitasking and copy paste. It allows several applications to be run at a time. Also, it enables users to select portions of text from a web page and insert them in emails.

Interface: The interface of the phone is very simple and easy to understand. It comes wit an acelerator that allows auto rotation.

Phone Book: The phone book of the KM555 can store up to a 1000 entries.

LG KM555 Screen

The KM555 has a 3 inches diagonal TFT touchscreen but most of that is in length and not width. It supports up to 256K colors and its pixel resolution is 240x400 pixls. The screen allows movements that can be performed with only one finger like tapping, scrolling, swiping and pressing. This implies one has to use the scroll bar to zoom.

Keypad and Controls

The LG KM555 does not have a keypad and it takes time to get used to this. An onscreen QWERTY keypad appears when the phone is held in landscape mode. When in portrait mode one has to press each key continuosly to move to the letter options. As this takes a lot of time one can activate the T9. Also, a handwriting box enables one to draw out letters but this is not a viable solution either as the handwriting box is too small.

Audio

Music playback is one of the best features of the LG KM555. The speakers are good and it has Dolbi Presets. One can also enjoy music using the in-built FM radio.

Messaging

The KM555 offers easy to send SMS, MMS, Email and Push Email features. It has the virtual full QWERTY keypad and the standard keypad to allow users the choice to type in their messages in whatever mode they are comfortable in.

Media

The LG KM555 brings constant access to entertainment and puts multimedia options in ones fingertips. The MP3 feature of the phone is probably its best feature. It supports Dolby digital sound options. With the microSD card one can expand the memory considerably and turn the phone into a great MP3 player.

Also the phone's widgets allows one to manage the phone's features and makes it fun too. It also has some pre-loaded games like Tetris and SIMS3.

Internet

Web browsing in LG KM555 cell phone is not very good. It converts web pages into a more text based version that is tedious to scroll through. However, it has built in Social networking applications with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace. Apart from this they also have a built-in Google application that launches google search, Blogger, Gmail and You tube. Although it is not a 3G phone it connects to the Internet using EDGE. It is a quad band phone that is capable of supporting global roaming.

Storage

Its internal memory is somewhere around 40MB but has a 1GB Micro SD which is expandable up to 32GB.

Connectivity and Data

The LG KM 555 is a quad-band GSM phone that supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900. It also features Bluetooth, A2DP support and a microUSB connectivity. It is fully compatible with GPRS and EDGE and WiFi technologies.

Usability & Performance

The call quality of the phone is reasonable . The music player is also great. The phone works well as a messaging device as it offers an onscreen QWERTY keypad. It also has a good battery life offering a 5.5 hours talk time and a standby time of up to 570 hours.

At first glance, the LG Imprint MN 240 looks identical to the Kin One Slider but actually it is the sibling of LG’s Remarq. This pocket –sized handset is equipped with features that help people to remain connected. This sleek and stylish slide phone has a full QWERTY keyboard, a variety of messaging functionality and support for email. Its ultra-compact design along with its extensive multimedia is sure to woo customers.

This is the ideal device for those who wish to possess a headset with an easy to use interface that would allow them to remain connected with friends, colleagues and family. LG Imprint also organizes SMS conversations in the form of threaded messages. This feature displays text messages in conversation format. The handset also offers Pocket Express feature delivering the most recent news, travel updates, weather, stock, entertainment updates, etc.

Design and Dimension

The best thing about LG Imprint is probably its design. The headset has rounded corners and measures 2.5 x 3.5 x 0.6 inches. The face of the phone’s body as well as the rear part is a lustrous black and a steel cap covers half the spine. Thus the phone has a rather compact yet attractive design. It weighs about 3.8 ounces and feels slightly heavy on the hand. It comes with a firm slider. It can be easily carried in ones pocket or in a small handbag and its weight will prevent it from getting lost among other things kept in the bag.

Camera

The LG Imprint has a 1.3 megapixel camera with Multishot technology. It allows users to take up to 6 consecutive shots instantly. It also comes with a unique picture editing tool that allows photos to be flipped, rotated, and inserted into fun frames. Color effects feature for photos are also available.

Basic Features

The LG Imprint MN240 is a decent phone that is not too feature rich but provides adequate functionality. It offers threaded multimedia, SMS, MMS, picture message and can store up to 1000 contacts. One can select from 33 polyphonic tunes to assign to each contact. Although it lacks support for instant messaging it supports IMAP and POP3. The Imprint also possesses regular tools like the calculator, calendar, world clock, notepad and converter. The Imprint’s battery life offers 5 hours of talktime but the standby time goes up to 170 hours.

Interface: The interface of the phone has been kept simple and easy to understand. This handset is ideal for those who love an uncomplicated and hassle-free way to stay connected.

Phone Book: The phone book of the LG Imprint is perfect for the phone and can store up to 1000 contacts. Every entry has space for two email ids, seven phone numbers, a customized ringtone and a photo ID. The contacts can be further divided into caller groups.

LG Imprint MN240 Screen

The LG Imprint has a 2.2 inches display screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It offers support for 262,000 colors. Although the display is just fine with interesting menu options and default wallpaper, it could have used MetroPCS. However, the display is legible under sunlight. The backlighting of the screen can be adjusted but not the contrast or brightness.

Keypad and Controls

Just below the screen of the Imprint lies the navigation array. The navigation array in this handset has the conventional 4-directional pad with the OK button in the center. Also the speakerphone, two soft keys and back buttons can serve as the call Receive/End keys. On sliding the phone open one can find the spacious QWERTY keyboard with its narrow keys.

These keys are separated from each other and have a slightly domed surface. A key has been dedicated to messaging alone. It takes the users to the texting window in the first go. Also there is an option to open the music player straight away.

Audio

The Imprint has an MP3 music ringer support. It also houses a music player that can be accessed from the main menu. It also features a one touch speaker phone. The call quality is good enough. However the same cannot be said about the speaker phones.

Messaging

The feature set of the LG Imprint has been kept simple by MetroPCS and hence it does not offer instant messaging functionality. However, the threaded message facility is still there. This allows text messages to be displayed as conversations. Support for POP3 or IMAP is provided by the Imprint.

Media

The LG Imprint offers a PocketExpress feature that provides the most recent updates on news, movies, sports, weather, stock, travel, entertainment, etc. It also offers MP3 support.

It also offers a WAP-based MetroWeb and a recognized Metro applications store where several goodies can be bought. These include songs, ringtones, wallpapers, pictures, etc that can be bought and downloaded.

Internet

It has been indicated that the LG Imprint is not very feature rich. It does not have a standalone Web browser. This is a set back as a Web browser is always expected in a phone of this stature. However, Imprint takes care of the browsing needs of its customers by offering WAP-based MetroWeb and a recognized Metro applications store.

Storage

The LG Imprint has 23MB of internal memory and on the extreme right hand side of the phone lies the microSD memory card slot. The memory can be expanded up to 16GB.

Connectivity and Data

The device cables of LG Imprint MN240 are multifunctional. They can be used to connect one phone to another. It can also be used to charge the phone if one end is a USB port. The device can also be plugged into ones computer to facilitate syncing and other related features to enable data transfers. Some types of cables can connect the Imprint to a video or audio device or a combination of the two via a dock connector or headphone jack.

The phone has a CDMA- based technology with CDMA 800/1900 band. The phone has a slider design and for a wireless experience there is Bluetooth 2.1. The accessories included with the phone are USB data cable, Bluetooth headset, Stereo headset, Bluetooth speakerphone.

Usability and Performance
The performance of the LG Imprint is quite decent. The call quality too is pretty good. The voices are natural, clear and strong. The call volume can also be enhanced greatly which facilitates talking in places with a lot of background noise. However the volume of the speaker phone is not that good even when held close to the ears.

After a number of several impressive handsets offered by LG in the past couple of years, they are at it once more with the LG Venus VX8800, or known simply as the LG Venus. And Venus could not have been a more fitting name as this little device screams beauty and grace when viewed at any angle. It has a uniquely designed dual display with a touch sensitive screen. And what we love in its design is extended all the way under its skin. It has loads of features that will definitely make this phone a must have for those looking for a mobile phone with both beauty and brains, so to speak.

For starters, the Venus has the capacity for one thousand contacts which has room for five phone numbers and two email addresses each. Contacts can be organized into caller groups and embed each with their respective photos and any of the sixteen ring tones available. Other important features such as text and multimedia messaging, a calendar and alarm clock – even a world clock, a notepad, calculator, speaker phone and voice memo recorder.

Aside from those usual assortments of mobile phone features, other high end capabilities are also offered by the Venus. These include and are not limited to: Email messaging, instant messaging, USB mass storage functionalities, stereo Bluetooth, Web browser and PC Syncing. And not only that, the Venus also supports 3G, utilizing the great services of EV-DO.

The Venus of course comes with its own music player which supports most popular formats such as MP3, AAC, eAAC, and WMA. The player interface looks neat and has onscreen music controls. Like dedicated media players, the Venus can display album art when a track is being played. The tracks are organized by artist, album and genre automatically, and you may even create your own user playlists. Playback options like shuffle and repeat are also offered. While the sound on the Venus is already exceptional on its own, the user may also apply any of the eleven equalizer presets. Unlike most handsets that offers music playback that shares its memory with the phones other functions, the Venus has a music only dedicated memory of 64 MB right out of the box. And if that proves to be insufficient in the long run, you can add more storage with the use of the expansion slot which supports up to eight gigabytes of microSD.

LG Venus Camera and Display

The LG Venus comes with an integrated 2 mega pixel camera that has capabilities of taking still pictures in four different resolutions – 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480 and a minimum of 320 x 240 pixels. It also boasts of photo editing capabilities and options for five white balance settings, spot metering, up to five color effects and three different shutter sounds with a silent option. The lens is also capable of zooming in your subjects digitally, albeit at only 2x. Picture quality with the Venus' camera was also quite good, without the tendency for blurred edges and has accurate and vivid colors.

The lens also doubles its use as a camcorder and it does so with two video resolution options, namely 320 x 240 and 176 x 144 pixels, which can be easily toggled depending on the needs of the user. Image editing options for photos are almost the same with the camcorder functions of the Venus, so the user may tweak videos further. For multimedia messaging purposes, the LG Venus limits video clips to thirty seconds only, which is sufficient for most users. Otherwise, you may capture video for as much as sixty seconds, provided of course the memory can handle it. Video quality was not very satisfactory though and the user should be well advised to keep hands steady as the Venus can not handle fast movements, lest you want to end up watching blurred and jerky home movies.

LG Venus Design and Accessories

As mentioned earlier, the design of the LG Venus looks very impressive. In fact it somewhat resembles the LG Prada which has a full three inch display. The Venus on the other hand has two display screens, with the top being your regular QVGA primary screen while the one at the bottom is the very pleasing touch sensitive screen which houses the Venus' navigation array. Together with the dual screen, the phone's svelte figure, and the luxurious leather-like material covering the back, the Venus looks very sleek and stylish and may fit both male and female users alike. Those skeptical with the touch sensitive controls of this unit need only to experience it once to become converts as the screen needs a firm touch to activate so unintentional pressing of keys do not happen easily.

What sets the LG Venus from other stylish handsets is that this one looks rather minimalist, relying heavily on the understated elegance fashion statement.

Summary of LG Venus Features

Weight: 108 g

The LG CU920 is under AT&T. It is built similar to the Prada phone, with its 3 inch wide screen that is touch sensitive. It is said that its US counterpart will be updated with actual 3G support. Indeed, the mobile industry is the fastest growing market today. Various cell phones are being manufactured. It even gets better because pieces of the growing technology are slowly being implemented on the mobile phones that are now sold in the market.

The LG CU920 is no different from other mobiles that are coming out. It has features like video calling and internet capabilities that will pose as a big convenience in your lifestyle. It has camera and video functions that allow you to store unforgettable moments and events in your life. It is microSD compatible, which means that you can save as many memories and data as you like.

LG CU920 Camera and Display

The LG CU920 has an immobile built-in camera with video capabilities as well. Aside from this it has video player functions. It has a resolution of 240 by 400 pixels with an active TFT of about 262,144 colors.

Moreover, you can connect to the outside world via MMS, SMS, E-mail and Instant Messaging. This is because of its advanced internal GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA functions. This is along with its HTML browser. It is even more exciting because the LG CU920 is Bluetooth and USB compatible.
Furthermore, composing text messages and e-mails are now a lot simpler and quicker because of the CU920's predictive text feature. You can make use of your extra time for more important things. Thus, you will not encounter any problems with storing your photos, videos and even data. This is because the LG CU920 is expansion memory enabled. This means that you can have an external memory through a microSD card. Since your music player is also supported with an MP3 function, you can also store as much MP3 music as you like.

For those who love games, you don't need to worry because the LG CU920 is capable of downloading Java games. Aside from that, when on a voice call, you can opt to use its speaker phone function. You can also record voice messages with the LG CU920.

LG CU920 Design and Accessories

The LG CU920 is a handheld mobile that features a 3 inch wide screen that is touch sensitive. It has keys on its front side but it's only a few keys to make use of. Moreover, the LG CU920 comes with a Li-Ion battery that is proven to be long lasting. You can have up to 4 hours of actual talk time and up to 300 hours of actual stand by time.

The LG CU920 also has an internal antenna. It is also roaming enabled. This means that the LG CU920 can be applied for a roaming function via your phone provider. Its 3G technology and quadband attribute makes it very ideal for travel usage. This is because the mobile will attempt to access 4 sites for signal purposes. This is a lot better than the previous dualband and triband attributes. This also means that through its quadband feature, you don't need to worry about losing your signal. You will have better chances of getting a good signal, when traveling, than those who have only dualband and triband phones.

Another good thing about the LG CU920 would be its video calling feature. This function lets you see the person on the other end of the line. This is a very good thing for international business transactions. Aside from that, seeing your loved one on the other end won't cause you too much loneliness just because you are working hundreds of miles away.

Other added features of the LG CU920 would be its organizer functions. This means that the CU920 has capabilities for calendar, calculator, alarm and memo pages. Its phonebook supports caller groups and multiple numbers for each contact function. It is also ring ID and picture ID enabled.

With its quadband functions, roaming and signal access is no longer a problem for you when you travel. With its 3G and video calling attributes, you can see the person calling you. This is also a good way to filter the calls you get.

Cons: The LG CU920 has not yet been released in the market. Thus, it will be available sometime soon. There is no current negative remark or feedback given about the CU920. The only thing, for now, would be its black color. It may be best if there are varieties, instead of the usual black casing.

Overall: The LG CU920 has a lot to offer with its 3G and HSDPA tandem. It offers a lot of conveniences, especially for those who travel a lot. This is also one phone you can use for your transactions anywhere in the globe. Many young professionals will really get a good deal with this CU920. It has everything you would want in a modernized mobile. Aside from that, you can actually store as many photos, videos and data as you deem necessary. You can also upload your videos and photos very easily. Aside from the internet, its Bluetooth and USB accessibility will guarantee you safe and faster downloads. Thus, the LG CU920 may prove to be practical and convenient for you, personally and business wise.

The mobile phone division of LG scores a big one with the LG Voyager. Tagged by many as the Apple iPhone killer because of its many advantages over the iPhone, expectations are already high, with iPhone aficionados' eyebrows raised even higher. But taking into consideration the functions of the Voyager versus the iPhone, it very well may be what could give Apple a run for its money.

First to be tested of course is the call functions of the Voyager. While call quality is overall good, for its price and hype, it does seem average. In fact, conference calling is lacking in the Voyager. The speaker independent voice dialing worked like a charm though. The speaker phone was also exceptional, with the sound coming out of the speaker heard loud and clear, although it would be better for the user to use the phone in its open position when using the hands free function as the sound diminishes once the phone is closed. But still, the sound comes out pretty decently. Call time is said to last for four hours and upon testing, a call lasted for considerably more than that which is good on anyone's book.

Using the LG Voyager's touch screen for messaging was quite a treat, but still it does not beat using the QWERTY keyboard for its speed. Doing so would require the user to open the phone though to reveal the “real” QWERTY keyboard. And such a shame as the onscreen keys on the Voyager looked very nice indeed. The phone also supports AOL, MSN and Yahoo for instant messaging and any new user will not have trouble figuring out how to do so with the Voyager. Aside from the usual text messages, the Voyager can also handle video and picture messages.

Music playback could not be any better on the Voyager and is in fact better than anything that Verizon Wireless ever developed. All the needed buttons can be found without having to open the phone and also has a lot of additional music playback functions. Scrubbing through a track may now be done so by dragging on the progress bar and was so needlessly fun that one may find himself scrubbing away just for kicks.

Music downloads on Verizon Wireless is quite expensive though and is trumped in this regard by iTunes much cheaper rates for music downloads for the iPhone. And although the Voyager has USB connectivity, transferring your tracks onto the phone won't start getting fun until you expand your memory with the Voyager being able to handle memory cards of up to 8 gigabytes.

The Voyager's GPS navigation also turned out very good and is one of the features that the Voyager can hold against the Apple iPhone. The GPS sensor was very strong even when indoors. Maps are easy to view and navigation loaded seamlessly and quickly. Try not to get lost though as the VZ Navigator may not be able to reroute you automatically. But a simple resetting and reloading of the Navigator should do the trick. But, be the navigation frustrating or not, the bottom line is the Voyager has it while the iPhone does not. That being said though, it could still benefit with some improvements.

Now, for its web browsing capabilities, LG Voyager does hold its own. The browser on this unit is very competent and pages are loaded without any problems. The iPhone's drag and fling navigation is admittedly better than that of the Voyager's, but a quick fix should be underway. But in any case, this little hitch can not be considered as the make or break moment in the Voyager's plight.

Of great interest to note is the haptic feedback function of the Voyager's onscreen QWERTY keyboard. This little function is not unlike the feedbacks on popular game consoles' controllers or game pads. What happens is the keyboard on the Voyager gives a bit of vibration making the user feel as though he / she is using a real QWERTY and not a touch screen one. While this may be just a fun factor to some, it does seem useful; for those who are new to typing on a touch screen.

LG Voyager Camera and Display

What came as a pleasant surprise with the Voyager are its camera functions. The images are rendered accurately, with rich and vibrant colors. Zooming in as expected brought about some noticeable noise in the pictures though, but it is the bane of every digital camera and camera phones in general and so is easily forgivable. But considering that the Voyager's integrated camera is only 2.0 mega pixels, the images that are produced by it can be more that what one might expect. A lot of image editing functions come with the Voyager and the QVGA video capturing capabilities fared very good as well.

Another nice feature that will be of great advantage over the Apple iPhone is the price. As of writing, the Voyager is listed at half the price of the iPhone and may very well influence the choice of many consumers.

LG Voyager Design and Accessories

The LG Voyager's design looks really cutting edge and would inspire a lot of onlookers to dream of having one as their own. Every little bit of its design screams high tech and its looks may be more than just a novelty or fad.

Summary of LG Voyager Features

Weight: 133 g

Width: 54 mm

Battery: 950 mAh, Up to 4 hours talk time, Up to 480 hours stand by time

PROS: When considering the pros over the Voyager's competition, an obvious one would be the price for it is much cheaper while having a lot more functions. The onscreen QWERTY keyboard on the LG Voyager, although a bit smaller than that of the competition, is always a treat to use.

CONS: Music downloads over at Verizon Wireless is almost double the price compared to iTunes. And the call quality is somewhat average.

Overall: In conclusion, if you must choose between the LG Voyager or the Apple iPhone, the obvious choice would be the LG Voyager as it has a lot more functions while tagged only at half the iPhone's price.

The LG VX8610 is being categorized as the new replacement for the LG VX8550 Chocolate. It is a newly released mobile that has a slider style; which is similar to most of the new cell phones in the market. It just so happens that the touch-sensitive buttons were replaced with four buttons that are standard-type; and surrounds the trackball d-pad. This would be similar to the actual ball being used on certain Blackberry devices. Thus, the LG VX8610 is expected to hit North America in the 2nd quarter of 2008.

LG VX8610 Camera and Display

The LG VX8610 mobile has a lot of features that will surprise you. Although it's sliding feature is very common to cell phones these days, when you start turning this mobile over, you will discover its most wonderful attribute. The LG VX8610 has a built-in and removable Bluetooth actual earpiece! In fact, it is considered as the 1st Verizon phone with a BT earpiece that is removable. This attribute is really its major selling point.

The LG VX8610 also has other features like a 2MP built-in camera, an exciting QVGA display, a micro USB port, an internal antenna and a slot area for the microSD card.

LG VX8610 Design and Accessories

The LG VX8610 will surely be a big hit in the market; because of its 3G support capabilities. Its resolution has about 240 x 320 pixels; with an active TFT of 262,144 colors. It also has state-of-the-art built in camera and video attributes; with a resolution of 2 megapixels. This is along with a self timer and mirror feature.

The LG VX8610 also has an MP3 format support for its music player function. To connect to the outside world, the VX8610 is micro USB and Bluetooth capable. You can even experience sending text messages at a whole new perspective. This would be via SMS, MMS and email. It also comes packed with a Li-Ion battery that can stand up to 4 hours of pure talk time; and a standby time that can reach up to 370 hours.

The VX8610 is also compatible with a microSD card. It can accommodate multiple numbers for each specific contact. Its storage capacity for names is simply amazing. It can store up to 1,000 names in its phonebook. When you receive a voice call, it even has a picture ID and ring ID function. This means that you can filter the calls you are getting. It also has a calendar, calculator, organizer and stop watch among others. The VX8610 is really something worth having.

With its speaker phone and dialing attributes, handling your voice calls or video calls are made easier. You can dial the number and your mobile's system will continue to dial until it reaches the party you are calling. You then have the option of using your Bluetooth earpiece or the VX8610's speaker phone feature. Its 3G technology will even allow you to view the person you are talking to. Of course, the person you are talking to would also need a 3G phone so that the both of you can see one another. With the advent of several 3G phones these days, a lot of people are now enjoying the technology of voice calling!

Another added feature would be its recording capability. Not only will you be able to record your conversations, you can also record memos that you need to be reminded of; or anything else you would like to have recorded. Other added features would include the alarm, calendar, stop watch and calculator functions. The LG VX8610 is really something else because it lets you have everything in just one small gadget.

Summary of LG VX8610 Features

Network: CDMA 2000

Screen Resolution: 240 x 320 pixels; Active TFT 262,144 colors supported

Connectivy: Bluetooth, microUSB

Music: Music Player

Camera: 2 megapixels

Messaging: SMS, MS, email

Expansion Slot: microSD format

Software Features: Calendar, Alarm, Calculator, Notepad, Stop Watch, Ring ID, Picture ID

Other Features: Speaker phone, Dialing, Recording

Battery: Li-Ion

Pros: The best feature of the LG VX8610 would be its 3G capability. This means that you are given a wide range of advanced services through a network's improved and modernized spectral efficiency. You will experience a wider area for your voice calls. You will also have access to broadband wireless information. Thus, this service will be provided via 5 up to 10 MB per second. Not only will you be able to browse through the net, you will even experience video calling. This allows you to actually see the person you are talking to.

Cons: The weakest feature of the LG VX8610 would be its dual band capability. This is a bit limited for people who are always traveling to different countries. It affects the roaming service. The better ones would be able to provide triband or quadband functions. For its video calls, you will be able to see the person you are talking to if he or she has a 3G phone as well Although not everyone, a majority of people now are able to access the 3G technology.

Overall: The LG VX8610 is really something to look forward to. Although it has been released to a variety of areas, North America will be able to experience it this 2nd quarter of 2008. LG really made a magnificent effort in making the VX8610 convenient to everyone. Its features and design would cater to the neutral generation. Thus, the LG VX8610 is a great addition to the best new mobile's being released with the 3G technology.

The new LG VX9100 which will take over the reign of the VX9900 or the LG enV, will probably be announced this coming April and will be available by the second quarter of this year at the earliest, if rumors hold true.

It is already being touted as the next Apple iPhone killer, promising to deliver all the features of the iPhone and more. And even as early as now, great expectations and pessimistic eyebrows are already rising as well. And if everything go as planned, LG will be giving Apple a very tiring run for its money.

LG VX9100 Camera and Display

The VX9100 will come integrated with a 2.0 mega pixel camera which may also double as a camcorder aside from its general function of taking still photographs. Display screen is the more preferred standard QVGA with an ample resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and is able to display 262,144 vivid colors. Aside from the main screen display, the LG VX9100 will also sport a secondary display screen which is expectantly smaller, though would display much needed information without requiring the user to keep opening the clamshell to do menial tasks. And from what one could gather from the few photographs that abound in the internet, the displays looks vivid and bright as well.

LG VX9100 Design and Accessories

According to LG's official site, the VX9100 will sport the clamshell design with a full QWERTY keyboard and will be slimmer than the enV. But official dimensions are as of yet announced. Aside from its slimmer body, it will also generally be more streamlined, thanks to the absence of the camera lens bulge that has become the bane of camera phone manufacturers.

From looking at the press release photos and what looked like leakages, the VX9100 seem very sleek and futuristic looking. Keypad layout and design is unlike anything we have seen and may prove to be one of the VX9100's strongest points.

With a more streamlined appearance of course comes also with a better designed QWERTY keypad which makes flipping the phone open a delight. The LG VX9100 also has an expansion slot for a microSD card and a port for a microUSB cable.

Summary of LG VX9100 Features

Weight: --

Width: --

Height: --

Thickness: --

Network: CDMA dual band ( 800/1900 MHz), 3G Support

Screen Resolution: 320 x 240 pixels, 262,144 colors, Color, TFT

Data: CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEV-DO rev.0

Connectivity: microUSB, 1.2 Stereo Bluetooth

Web Browser: WAP

Music: MP3, WMA formats supported , Music player, Dual stereo speakers

Camera: 2.0 mega pixels Resolution, Video Capture, Digital Zoom

Messaging: MMS, SMS, Email

Expansion Slot: microSD

Tones: unknown

Software Features: BREW

Other Features: 1000-names capacity, Multiple Numbers Per Contact, Picture ID, Voice Dialing, Voice Commands, Voice Recording, Speaker Phone, GPS

PROS: Of course one of the best traits of mobile phones of this class is the presence of a fully functional QWERTY keyboard. And judging from the photographs released by LG Electronics, the QWERTY from this new offering looks to have ergonomics written all over it. The projected price is also cheaper than that of the iPhone, considering it will generally have more features and offer more support.

CONS: As the VX9100 is yet to be released, its weaknesses are of course still not apparent. Although a camera much higher than the 2.0 mega pixels would go a long way as other supposed iPhone killers will offer more, like the rumored 5.0 mega pixel offering from Samsung's U940.

Overall: With all the features promised, the LG VX9100 may be what Apple weary consumers need. And that alone may be well worth the wait for many gadget aficionados.

LG Electronics is a worldwide design and technology leader in actual mobile communications. They teamed up with Symbian Limited, which is the famous marketing leader for the operating systems of open mobiles. Together, they came up with the LG KT610.

The LG KT610 is an extraordinary GPS-enabled stylish mobile phone. It has a unique and charming 2.4” VGA flip-type screen which holds a QWERTY keypad that resembles the one for the PCs.

Symbian Limited based the OS of the LG KT610 with that of the Symbian OS v9.2; which includes the S60 Edition Feature Pack 1. This means that the users of the KT610 will experience the full benefits of having various multimedia applications and features. Moreover, you can add the fact that it is being powered with the latest HSDPA connectivity that runs with a GPS navigation capability and about 3.6 Mbps.

Thus, the LG KT610, with its push E-mail function and QWERTY keypad can really guarantee easier web browsing and working conditions.

LG KT610 Camera and Display

The LG KT610 has a lot of fascinating features a majority of people will go crazy about. It has a clamshell form factor and a full QWERTY keyboard. It also has an active TFT of about 256,000 colors. Its screen size is about 2.4”; with a mono display of about 1.45”. The KT610 also has a secondary display or a 4 line secondary external feature. The LG KT610's dimensions are 108.9 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm.

The LG VX8000 is the first outing by Verizon Wireless to feature full EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) support. Already an ample mobile phone in its own right, it is all the more made better as it utilizes Verizon's promises of speed starting at 300 kbps and up to as much as 500 kbps. This is mobile networking at its best. But the real advantage of the VX8000 over its competitors is the ability to access Video On Demand, which has various programs such as news, sports, and entertainment available as a streaming video through Verizon's V Cast service.

In addition to the VX8000's many features, the phone is also able to store up to 500 contacts and store up to two email addresses and five telephone numbers. You can also assign a picture for each contact as a means of caller ID that will display on the VX8000's screen every time a call is received. The handset also has three way calling, a calendar, speakerphone, vibrating alert and the capability to record as much as thirty one-minute voice memos. Pretty much all the functions you are searching for in a mobile phone can be found in the VX8000. Or the important ones at least.

LG VX8000 Camera and Display

Although only at 1.3 mega pixels, the VX-8000's camera is very ample and has the capabilities as both a digital camera and a digital camcorder. It lets the user capture images at resolution of 1,280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 176 x 144. This gives the user more flexibility when taking pictures. And speaking of flexibility, the VX8000 comes with many photo editing options such as adjustments for white balance, color effects, file quality, brightness and also providing presets for different lighting situations such as cloudy, sunny, fluorescent and others. Even the shutter sound is customizable with different shutter sound effects available for use, or you may just opt to keep the shutter silent. But even with all the user settings, as one might expect from a 1.3 mega pixel camera, nighttime shots were not very good, even when utilizing the integrated flash.

The VX-8000's camcorder functions let the user record 15 second video clips in the popular mpeg4 format complete with sound. Editing options for the videos though are not as plenty as the options for photo editing, with only the brightness and the white balance available for further tweaking by the user. Photos and videos are stored directly on the phone so the VX-8000's included 128 mb of memory is not going to be enough. With this regard, the inclusion of an expansion slot for added memory would have been in order. You can however send and receive video clips and photos. It is interesting to note however that when videos and photos are sent as email, they are received as QuickTime and JEGS respectively.

LG VX8000 Design and Accessories

As one would expect from a mobile phone with this much features, the VX8000 is quite on the heavy side. Not only that, the unit is a bit bulky also, with dimensions of 3.7 inches x 1.9 inches 0.9 inches (height x width x thickness respectively). With that much weight though, expect the LG VX8000 to carry all the punches when it comes to functionality.

As the VX8000 is a clamshell type phone, first to be checked of course is the sturdiness of the assembly between the top and bottom panels of the phone. Not any problems with regards to the build of the phone, as neither a squeak nor creak are heard while handling the phone. The silver casing gives the phone a tough and no nonsense exterior and the extra weight does give the VX8000 a rather solid and sturdy feel.

On the front flip panel of the LG VX8000 you will find the 1.25 inch, 262k color external display. Below this display are three buttons for playback controls such as rewind, play/stop, and fast-forward. There is also the speaker phone which is situated on the front of the VX8000 but you may also just opt to use the supplied stereo headphones.

Summary of LG VX8000 Features

PROS: The LG VX8000 is a feature-filled little device that has a lot of what users look for in mobile phones. With this handset, no frills is the name of the game and every ounce of it's rather hefty weight is filled to the brim with functions.

CONS: Although the VX-8000 is not entirely challenged design-wise, it could have used a bit more innovation. The camera on this handset, sufficient for many users, yielded results that leave more to be desired. EV-DO is also not supported in all regions so be sure to check before making a purchase.

Overall: If what you are looking for is the basic functions of mobile phones and then some, then by all means give the LG VX-8000 a careful examination.

The successor of the popular LG F9200 finally arrives in the form of the "Rumor". As a general description, you may think of the Rumor as a QWERTY keyboard mobile phone without the smart phone intricacy. With that in mind though, the Rumor is not without its own set of advanced and attractive features. Like said, it has a QWERTY keyboard that the user can slide out from under the phone, making it very viable as a text messaging little device. It has a camera for your picture taking needs (more on this later), a music player and Bluetooth support among others.

With all that functionality in a mobile phone, it surprising to note that the LG Rumor is easy to use and navigating through its menus is a breeze. And quite obviously, the QWERTY keyboard makes typing in text messages quicker and more intuitive.

The music player for the LG Rumor is pretty much standard fare with a very generic looking interface. Audio quality was average and could use a bit more bite as it sounded tinny with not a lot of low frequencies. The user may be well advised to use better sounding headphones as well as the one supplied didn't do the Rumor any favors. Like your standard standalone media devices, the user can organize his / her music and create user playlists for seamless music playback. You can also make the Rumor your own personal jukebox with the shuffle and repeat functions. Music files are stored from the computer to the microSD card with a music manager. And as average as the sound is on the Rumors music player, it does have a wealthy coded support and is able to recognize different audio file formats such as the popular MP3, AAC, AAC+, M4A and MP4 and also not so used formats such as MID, AMR, 3G2, 3GPP, M4V, QCP and PMD files.

And the Rumor can become your favorite game gadget and comes with its own set of game demos like classics such as Tetris, PacMan, Tornado Mania and Poker. For full version games though, the user would have to download them from the Web.

Of course, the LG Rumor is still a mobile phone first and foremost, and as such does a very fine job. Call quality was generally very good and users on the other end of the line reported very clear receptions as well. Volume was more than sufficient except when using the speakerphone which occasionally emitted muffled noises.

A nice feature is the Bluetooth v2.0 chipset with supports different profiles such as the HFP 1.5, HSP, DUN, PBA, BPP and OPP but lacks support for A2DP. Users may also have quick Web access to read on the latest news, weather forecasts, various downloads and many more.

The phonebook can store up to 500 contacts with room for five phone numbers and three email ads for each phonebook entry.

LG RUMOR Camera and Display

Although quite a leap over the predecesor's VGA camera, the LG Rumor's 1.3 mega pixel integrated camera still leaves a lot to be desired and could definitely use some improvements. Even in comparison to other camera phones with the same 1.3 mega pixel rating, image quality was a bit disappointing. That being said though the Rumor has the standard user settings such as white balance, brightness settings, four color tones, a self timer, and a choice of four shutter sounds with a silent option. The Rumor offers photographs in three resolutions namely: the minimum 320 x 240, 640 x 480, and the maximum setting of 1280 x 960. But even with that entire image editing capabilities, it simply could not save the Rumor's lackluster camera performance.

As a sort of bonus though, the camera on the LG Rumor does double duty as a camcorder, although as expected to below average results. It could only render video clips in two resolutions (128 x 96 and 176 x 144). The still camera's user tweak able settings are extended in camcorder mode but still manage to fare no better. All in all, the camera functions of the LG Rumor may be enough for your average needs like office party drunken snapshots and your funny buddy video clips but other camera phones offer the same with better results.

The LG rumor also has only one screen display at only 176 x 220 pixels, displaying up to 262 thousand colors. It may be ok for your standard sized handset, but for a device of this size and the fully functional QWERTY keyboard in mind, the two inch display does seem a bit miniscule. But as a form of salvation, the display does seem crisp. Although again, the dark scheme of the default menu renders it hard to read under bright conditions.

LG Rumor Design and Accessories

Right out of the box, the LG Rumor does a pretty good job of disguising itself as your standard candy bar phone, albeit a pretty hefty one. That is until you slide the full QWERTY keyboard into view and the screen's display automatically changes in orientation. And doing so is quick and easy and would definitely arouse a lot of people's curiosity. On the downside though is that because of its bulky size, it feels rather uncomfortable placing it inside your pockets. And it is also quite heavy for a phone of this class. Accessories that come with the Rumor is pretty much your standard with nothing really worth mentioning as they are what one would expect anyway.

Summary of LG RUMOR Features

Weight: 117 g

Width: 51 mm

Battery: Li-Polymer 950 mAh, 4.5 hours talk time

PROS: The design is quite nice and does a good job of "pretending" to be a candy bar type phone. Call quality is also exceptional for both parties. Multiple audio file formats support is also outstanding making it a very versatile music player.

CONS: Photo and video quality is very poor and leaves a lot to be desired. The Rumor also does not have support for EV-DO.

Overall: If you are the type of user with form rather than function in mind, then you wouldn't mind having the LG Rumor. But for those looking for a great multi-faceted handset, you would have to look further.

LG ENV The new LG VX9900 is the successor to the popular LG 9800 and as such takes from it the good traits we have come to love and refines it further. More popularly known with its alias as the LG enV, there is not a more fitting name, as the 9900 would definitely be the source of envy for gadget aficionados.

The enV has room for 1,000 contacts in its phone book, twice that of the 9800, and can manage as much as six phone numbers for each contact, two email addresses and notes. The user can also attach photos with their contacts and save them to groups. This is especially useful when sending text messages to a particular group as not to be tedious. Not just for text, the enV is also capable of multimedia messaging, instant messaging and even email. The handset is also Bluetooth 1.2 enabled and comes with profiles for Bluetooth headsets, file transfers, dial up networking and others. It also has the increasingly popular EV-DO capabilities and with it can take advantages of 3G services such as the V Cast video and V Cast music store. You also have the after purchase options of other services such as the VZ Navigator and Backup Assistance and leisure services such as Fox Sports Pro and an application that can give you drink recipes called the TinyBartender. All these features make the LG enV a well rounded device for the modern professionals.

LG ENV VX9900 Camera and Display

The LG enV VX9900 has an integrated 2 mega pixel camera that takes both still pictures and can also double as a credible camcorder. This is far better than the usual 1.3 that comes with even high end camera phone models. Pictures can be taken in six resolutions, to be precise: 1600 x 1200 (maximum), 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, 176 x 144, and a minimum of 160 x 120 pixels.

The usual array or photo effects to tweak your shots are also available such as the four white balance settings and a choice of four color effects. Also a night mode, brightness control, self timer and a choice of three shutter sounds are available. It is also good to note that the user can take pictures in silence with the silent shutter option. And although at only rated at 2.5 x, the inclusion of a digital zoom is more than what other handsets had to offer and may prove to be of great use at some occasions. And as should be standard for all camera phones, as it is not, the LG enV has an auto focus that greatly helped in keeping the shots steady thus eliminating blur almost every time. In fact, pictures taken with the enV looked crisp and more than decent, with vivid colors and good over all brightness. Do not attempt to take pictures in dark environments though as even with an integrated flash, images looked dark and dull.

In camcorder mode though, and unlike with the still camera capabilities, the user is only presented with two video resolution options, specifically: 176 x 144 pixels (QCIF), and the better 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA). Editing options are similar as with the still camera mode though, which means better versatility with video. Multimedia destined video clips are limited to only fifteen seconds and is probably adequate while on the other hand, the user can capture videos for up to an hour. Photos and videos can be saved directly to the enV's 64 MB of shared memory but it is advisable to save instead to a memory card, especially if you intend to back up you shots to a computer or other removable disc drives. With regards to video quality though, the user should be well advised to keep his / her hands steady as the enV does not handle quick movements very well.

LG enV VX9900 Design and Accessories

Although LG in not known for making stylish handsets and releases phones that are rather too boxy for most consumer's taste. They however score big with the enV's design. Although still a bit “square”, the boxy effect works for the enV and the words simple and effective better suits it than dull and uninspiring. Looking like your standard candy bar phone, the enV actually utilizes the clamshell design to hide the QWERTY keyboard from plain view. The hinges seem built with solid construction and opens to a full 180 degrees. Working with the enV while it rests on a table is not an easy feat though as the bulging lens behind the handset keeps the phone from being steady.

Like with previous models, the enV's navigation pad can be found left of the QWERTY keyboard albeit now black instead of the usual silver. This works in keeping the phone looking neat and the buttons not as busy looking as it is. Stereo speakers are separated by the vivid display of the enV's screen and provide ample volume to the listener.

PROS: The LG enV VX9900 is a generally pleasing little gadget that is a joy to use. The call quality is decent plus the QWERTY keyboard is particularly not hard on the fingers. Photo quality with the camera is also more than adequate.

CONS: The external display on the enV could have used a bit more in terms of size, as it seemed really small. Also streaming video could do a lot better.

Overall: Although far from being perfect, it looks as if LG is establishing itself in the mobile phone competition with the enV. It has its quirks and flaws but can be easily overcome by the nifty features it comes with. Overall, the enV is a nice combination of functionality and fun at a very reasonable price.

Every time our favorite cellular phone manufacturer releases a new model we want it in our hands as soon as possible. We have our personal preferences in mind in choosing the right mobile phone and finding the phone’s key features is the only way for us to know if it truly fits our lifestyle. Whether it’s a plain phone or the most high-end phone available, as long as it catches your interest it will be the most ideal phone for you. Better check up one of the new phones that is out in the market nowadays, the LG KU990 Viewty cellular phone.

The LG KU990 Viewty is a mobile phone that deserves everybody’s attention as it has the key features that every phone lovers need these days. First and foremost, the LG KU990 possesses an impressive 3” touchscreen display in a 240 x 400 pixels resolution. Since the use of infrared is almost for those lower-end phones at the present time, this mobile phone relies in using its Bluetooth and USB capabilities in receiving and transferring files. Having an HSDPA with 3.6 Mbps capability that enables 3g services lets it compete with other high-end phones available in the market.

If you’re a picture addict, you’ll surely love the LG KU990 Viewty as it has a highly intriguing 5-megapixel camera equipped with auto focus for a more visible picture. Enjoy taking videos too as this mobile phone has a 120 fps capability in capturing moving or still panorama. Other key features of this awesome phone is its secondary video camera needed for video calls, camera focus assist beam and strobe flash, TV-output support, DivX video playback, and haptic feedback every time its screen is pressed with its original stylus dongle or even with your bare fingers.

The LG KU990 Viewty is like a size of the controversial iPhone or Sony Ericsson P1 with its 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 mm phone measurements and weighs about 112 grams. Under its large screen would be the three hardware keys such as the green and red for send and end keys and the correction C key for backspace or for leveling up in the interface menu. The back of the mobile phone unit looks like a real digital camera with its shutter key located in the right side of the unit beside the camera mode and unlock/stabilization key controls. The LG KU990 uses Schneider-Kreuznach optics for its lenses together with hardware jog wheel that makes digital zooming easy.

The LG KU990 Viewty uses a 1000mAh Li-Ion battery located inside the back of the phone. Removing the battery allows you to see the space provided for the unit’s MicroSD memory card slot and your network’s SIM card. It’s an amazing news finding out that the DivX playback doesn’t really affect the performance of the unit’s battery as it has been tested that the battery of the unit could last no more than 2 days if a heavy-duty usage occurs. Contrary to the usual touch screen phones that uses stylus features, you can’t find the phone’s stylus dongle plugged anywhere in the handset as it is attached in the hand strap eyelet of the phone which is quite an original idea.

The LG KU990 Viewty comes with a 100mb internal memory, much greater than the said Prada phone that only contains 16mb. For multimedia lovers, this unit accepts java files and other multimedia. Since the LG KU990 Viewty is an easy phone to handle, no one could ever question its audio quality too as this unit performs just like any other mobile phones built to satisfy our ears. As of the moment, the LG KU990 Viewty unit only comes in black color.
