LG VX-8300: LG has been manufacturing cell phones for many years and have really succeeded in giving tough time to companies of Nokia and Motorola caliber. With its Chocolate it even won the best cell phone design of 2005. Here we are about to review another master piece from LG, the VX8300.
The cell phone shape is some what round and sleek. The physical measurements came out to be 3.58x1.93x0.92 inches and weight turned out as just below 4 ounces. It is the first 3G cell phone from LG.
The external display is 1.2 inch diagonally and can display 65000 colors. The screen gives the basic info like date, time etc. Just below lie the music control buttons. Camera lens is at the top. The flip open handset has external antenna and speakers on each side.
The left spine has memory expansion slot while the right side has volume rocker and a place for voice command control button.
Flip open LG VX8300 and you will find a brilliant 2.25 inch screen which support more than 260K colors and display graphics at stunning quality. The lower flip has the 5 way navigation control surrounded by well spaced keys.
Talking about the features of VX8300, the cell phone has got a lot of them specially on the software side. The camera, the LG handset got is 1.3 megapixel. The cell phone provides a variety of options to the user to work around with the camera. The external display can act as view finder so self portraying is no problem. 8300 also comes with a small flash. Video recording is not bad at all.
Cell phone comes with internal memory of approximately 30MB. You can plug in an SD to expand it.
VX8300 comes with battery that has a talk time of around 4 hours and on the standby, it could run the cell phone for up to 16 days.
The overall performance of the cell phone is great, especially with the kind of features provided. One can replace $150 in his pocket with LG VX which is not a very expensive offer.
