Samsung SGH T809: Reviewing all the cell phones with respect to their design, we would see that almost every famous cell phone has to be very slim. Motorola Razr V3 got popularity just because of this. Famous manufacturers have introduced their own 'Razr' to complete with Motorola but so far so good, nothing is able to beat Motorola Razr. Here we are about to review Samsung SGH-T809, a slim cell phone rival of Razr.
The cell phone measures 3.9x2x0.6 inches. And weight a little above 3.5 ounces. The cell phone is a bit heavier than its rival but the slider cell phone appears good in black color. The slider mechanism works fine as it needs only a finger to slide up or down. The 4 way navigational key is responsive most of the time along side the two soft keys. The keys are well separated. On the left spine you will find volume rocker. On the right TransFlash slot is there to expand the memory. At the top the camera lens is movable to 180 degrees extent.
The main screen of T809 is stunning. The 2 inch LCD has a perfect resolution of 320x240 and display up to 262K colors. The various features of the screen like brightness and contrast can be adjusted.
The 1.3 Megapixel camera of T809 is great. Although it lacks built in flash, but self portraits are easy to snap, on the other side. The cam enables you to take pictures at different resolutions. There is also a liberty of taking video clips and saving into 70mb built in shared memory of the cell phone, in case you don't want to plug in an extra memory card for that.
T809 supports 3D sound, so it is needless to talk about how would be the audio play back capabilities. On the software side, T809 is well equipped with multimedia player with which organizing any sort of mp3s are no problem at all.
Battery quality of Samsung T809 is obvious from its talk time of more than 3 hours and standby time of around 6 days, once charged completely.
The overall performance of quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900; EDGE) Samsung SGH-T809 is great. The cell phone has major features of cam, mp3 play back, 3D audio, expandable memory, built in Bluetooth etc. We didn't found any issues with call making in our tests too.
